End of Year Show.

So today was the private showing for our End of Year Show, where the college supposedly invites industry professionals down to view our final projects. With exception to the odd parent and the Mayor of Canterbury the media hall was empty.

I say empty, the awesome guys from Free Fall Entertainment were there, showcasing their project that they have created as a prequel to their upcoming arcade title.

They also agreed that I could display at their upcoming expo on July 24th. So make sure your in Canterbury for that day!

Sub D Modelling

Having spent last night watching tutorials on subD modelling, I can say that the basics are simple and quick to learn. It's more the implementation of modelling techniques into good polyflow design.

Hopefully I can create both a stunning subD model with mechanical animation for my 3D animation task. At least this is what Paul Roberts hopes I will manage.

End of Year Show Week Begins

So after attaching my work to the board, what left to do but the boring finish to the college year. It was nice to see a few people making an effort to complete work, coming in on a day off like me.

Time to get cracking on a 3D animation. I have no ideas currently but regardless I'll brainstorm out some ideas tonight and get them into 3DS Max tomorrow.

New Gallery for portfolio images has been added. Many thanks to Single file who allow usage for non profit for free. :P Also added a header image for the FlashStorm project but expect this to be the only update for quite some time.

FlashStorm Announced and End of Year Show

Today I announce my new project, codenamed Flashstorm. This is a continuation of a previous project but to a new degree. Flashstorm will not be a quick or easy project, nor will it be forgiving if it is not worked on. With this said, I should also notify you all that I intend Flashstorm to take atleast until Christmas, due to the size and intensity required.

College end of year show starts tomorrow. To say I am fully prepared is an understatement, the college even less so. My picture artworks will be ready for boarding today so hopefully all should be well.
